Bathing Suit Hype for Summer 2015

By on May 25, 2015

Bikini season is rapidly approaching, and with the countless styles and trends, it can be a little overwhelming. Fret not; we have rounded up some of the most popular swimsuit trends for this summer.

This style is great if you’re not a fan of the typical bikini as you get more coverage from the cut of the top, giving it a sporty flare. Try it in a cool geometric print for a structured look

Cutouts one pieces

This year, one-piece swimsuits get a makeover by using cutouts to give them a more sexy edge. Varying from one small hole to an assortment of straps and shapes, cutout one-pieces are far from boring.

Colour Block

Colour blocked bathing suits have been made extremely popular by the swimsuit brand Triangl, which uses their signature style of black lining and bright colours to create swimwear masterpieces. Of course there are less expensive options for this style, and colour blocked suits come in an array of fun shades, so they are going to be very hot this summer.

Patterns and textures

As previously mentioned, colour blocking will be a very big trend this summer, as well as crocheted bathing suits. Black will always be a go-to colour for swimsuits and looks especially sharp in a cutout or classic bikini style. “Scuba” fabric, (AKA Neoprene) is a great choice of fabric for swimwear because it holds its shape well when wet, and gives swimwear an athletic look.
