This series of performances commemorates the life and music of German composer Johann Sebastian Bach. One of the most prominent musicians of the Baroque period, his work takes many forms from keyboard concertos to grand orchestral and choral masterpieces. Botanical Garden Christmas Fair
December 5th to December 14th
The gardens are a beautiful place to indulge in some holiday shopping at a unique horticultural green market. Exhibitors offer their plant creations and a host of other original decorations and trendy gift ideas. Click here for opening hours.

Salon des Métiers d’Art du Québec (Québec Crafts Showcase)
December 5th to December 21st
Over four hundred artisans from across Quebec display their wares in a major cultural showcase at Montreal’s Place Bonaventure. All the exhibits at the fair are recognized in accordance with the standards of the Quebec Council of Arts and Crafts so that attendees are assured that they have been designed and made with the highest quality. Saint-Denis Street Snowboarding
December 6th
The hills come to the city as this downtown thoroughfare is transformed into a snowboarding terrain, complete with rails and jumps, for the Empire City Troopers urban snowboarding competition. Admission is free, and registration forms are available, click here for anyone who thinks their carving skills are up to the challenge.
