Benedict Cumberbatch plays the famous Alan Turing who led a team to decipher the German Enigma Code that would eventually help the Allies win WWII. This film is a prime example of “Oscar Bait” and the performances in the film will leave you breathless. It won the People’s Choice Award at TIFF 14, which is generally a good indicator of how successful it will be during awards season.
The unexpected gem at TIFF 14 from Chris Rock is sure to keep you laughing all day. A New York comedian meets a journalist who makes him rethink his new career as a “serious” actor. The banter and wit between Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson is hilarious and are a joy to watch.
